Continuing Medical Education
Course Description, The Clinical Safety and Effectiveness course is a UT System-wide course that concentrates on Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. It is modeled after Dr. Brent James´  Advanced Training Program  at Intermountain Health Care, Utah. The curriculum emphasizes quality concepts and evidence-based medicine including patient safety, quality improvement, quality tools, teamwork, disclosing adverse…, Course is in transition - more information to follow., Application Process for CS&E Course, Due to the overwhelming demand to enroll, the Course Director works directly with executive leadership of supporting institutions to prioritize and select projects for each session. Teams are then chosen based on the project, areas impacted, and required expertise to conduct the project. 

We are looking forward to announcing the 2026 call for abstracts. We are currently creating the abstract themes. Once the themes are finalized, we will share the information here.

The 2026 ASCL Conference will be hosted at the recently opened Plaza San Antonio in beautiful San Antonio, Texas!

My Role with Students and Residents at Long School of Medicine, I am faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine. I teach residents and mainly 3rd/4th year medical students emergency medicine as well as point of care ultrasound., Three Fun Facts About Me, I collect various historical items such as presidential challenge coins I developed an interest in gardening and currently growing dragon fruit I have studied abroad multiple times to places such as England and Taiwan, Undergraduate Education, San Diego State University, Medical School Education, University of California Riverside School of Medicine, Residency Fellowship and/or Other Degrees, Residency: Emergency Medicine at St. John's Riverside, Fellowship: Emergency Ultrasound at UT Health San Antonio
