The House Staff Council is a representative organization serving the residents and fellows at UT Health San Antonio. Our mission is to improve patient care and graduate medical education by facilitating communication between the residents, the university, the hospitals and our community.
The council is made up of four officers and representatives from each department.

"As Vice President, my goal is to deepen the connection between residents and institutional leadership through open, transparent, and responsive communication. I am committed to actively seeking out resident feedback, ensuring it leads to meaningful change, and focusing on initiatives that elevate both the clinical and educational experience. In this role, I will be a steadfast advocate for our house staff, a trusted collaborator with leadership, and a source of unity within our community. Together, we can cultivate a residency environment that is supportive, inclusive, and empowering for all."

"My goal for this academic year will be to continue to manage the HSC budget and fund worthwhile and memorable events that allow us to connect with one another and provide us with a sense of community during our training. I will also continue to assist our house staff with navigating the HSC scholarship process to help offload some of the financial stress that comes with participating in scholarly activities."
