October is PT Month

October is National Physical Therapy Month and the Department of Physical Therapy continues to educate students and celebrate a thriving and growing profession!

In conjunction with National Physical Therapy Month in October, physical therapy faculty members from the School of Health Professions at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio are offering free advice. The public can call 210-567-8750 from noon to 1 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays during October to discuss issues related to health, physical activity, neuro-musculoskeletal injury, or sports- and fitness-related performance enhancement. 

UTSHCSA physical therapy students, faculty and alumni will participate in the International PT Day of Service (www.ptdayofservice.com) on Saturday October 17. Official department events include:

• October 16 - Volunteering at the San Antonio Food Bank
• October 17 - Medical Center Trail Run Clean-up
