37th Annual Dental Science Symposium
The UT Health San Antonio dental community assembled on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 for the 37th Annual Dental Science Symposium. This yearly event showcases dental research in basic science, public health, clinical science, and education.
Organized by the San Antonio Chapter of the American Association of Dental Research, the symposium hosted 30 dental students’, postdoctoral fellows’, and faculty poster presentations, along with 7 oral presentations. Distinguished Keynote speaker Nisha J. D’Silva, B.D.S., M.S.D., Ph.D., Donald Kerr Collegiate Professor, Associate Chair, Division of Oral Medicine, Pathology and Radiology, Professor of Pathology from the University of Michigan Medical School and Diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology presented her research entitled: “Oral Cancer: Aggressive & Subversive”.
Before closing remarks were made, faculty judges submitted their evaluations to be tallied for poster awards. The winners are:
