Kizil Yusoof
Ph.D. Student
Kizil Yusoof received her B.Sc. in Biology and a minor in music in 2018 from St. Edward’s University in Austin, TX. Currently, Kizil is in the Master of Science in Immunology and Infection program at UT San Antonio, where she works in the laboratory of Dr. Jordi B. Torrelles. In this lab, her work focuses on Tuberculosis (TB) disease preventive care and diagnostic tests, particularly, developing a point-of-care diagnostic test for drug-resistant TB for use in high burden areas. In the fall, she will join the Integrated Biomedical Sciences program to pursue her Ph.D. studies.
